Martin Stutzmann (1956)
studied Physics in Marburg, Paris, and Stanford and obtained his PhD in
1983. From 1983 to 1985, he worked as a Postdoc at the Xerox Palo Alto
Research Center. In 1985 he joined the group of M. Cardona at the
Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Germany.
Since 1993, Martin Stutzmann is a Director of the Walter Schottky
Institute at the Munich University of Technology. His main current
scientific interests concern semiconductor heterostructures and devices
for bioelectronics, sensors, spintronics, and photovoltaics.
