After his PhD at the University of Marburg, Reinhard Carius works since 1987 at Forschungszentrum Jülich. He is now deputy director of IEF5-Photovoltaics. His work focuses amongst others on transport and recombination in amorphous and microcrystalline silicon alloys and microstructure, optical and electronic properties of thin film semiconductors.
